Culinaria celebrates the best of food, and that means elevated events featuring opulent gourmet creations paired with elegant wines for extravagant tastings prepared by San Antonio’s best chefs, guest chefs, and global and local wineries. We work with various media outlets to promote our events including Texas Monthly, Edible SA, San Antonio Current, Better Homes and Gardens Online, and all San Antonio Television affiliates as well as offer exposure to more than 118,000 individuals, between event attendance and our communications efforts.
Our sponsorship packages were designed to welcome your involvement by providing you with multiple options to choose from, suiting your desired affiliation. These packages are available on a per-event basis, allowing for year-round opportunities to join us in providing financial assistance to our next generation of hospitality and culinary artists while enjoying great food, amazing wine, and community filled events.
As you can imagine, it takes quite a bit of preparation and people to pull off a multi-day festival like ours and our year-round events! We are looking for some great volunteers* to help us pour wine, set-up events, check in attendees and more. We have opportunities available throughout the year, so grab some friends, family members and coworkers and sign up!

*Volunteers must be 18 years of age and older.

An internship with Culinaria is a valuable learning experience that affords candidates the opportunity to work with a local non-profit organization focusing on promoting San Antonio as a premier wine and food destination while also supporting culinary and food related aid programs in our community. Interns typically gain knowledge and hands-on experience through several components of the structure.
Should be detail oriented.
Should possess strong communication skills (written and spoken).
Have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, a strong work ethic.
Ability to maintain a customer focus.
Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment (this is not a 9-5 job).
Ability to maintain a sense of humor.
Must demonstrate knowledge of event production.
Excellent organizational skills are a must, while self-managing priorities and commitments.
Must have the ability to proactively anticipate obstacles and create solutions.
Strong computer skills.
Proficient in PC preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet experience, including social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Should possess a desire to pursue a career in the marketing/special events management/hospitality or tourism industry.
Must be able to work with a team and communicate well with each team member and function within an office environment.
Areas of expertise include but are not limited to: Event Planning, Marketing, PR, Communications and Hospitality
Internship Compensation: Unpaid, with the opportunity for paid event staffing opportunities and compensation based on ability and length of stay.
Length: Flexible hours within the semester according to school calendar.
Required Hours: 20-25 hours per week.
