If you attended one of our Women & Whiskey events in the past, you will love Quarterly Pour, the newest event to the Culinaria schedule. Whether you are a curious newbie or seasoned connoisseur, the "quarterly" event will provide attendees with an intimate setting that includes tastings, conversation and an opportunity to learn more about a range of wine and spirits rather than just whiskey.

The first session happens Thursday, March 20, with our friends from Bending Branch, toasting both to women in the industry as well as Texas spirits. We’ll welcome Alison Young, Bending Branch President and Master Blender, who will walk guests through three ChickenDuck Bourbon products and a special collaborative Bending Branch 1840 and Culinaria blend. Alison will deep-dive into the barrel selection and blending processes behind each offering, sharing her inspirations and likely some stories along the way.
We’ll whip up High Rye bourbon margaritas and French 95 cocktails (a boozy take on the classic gin French 75 sipper) for purchase, while our neighbor Vintage Wine Bar will be on hand to offer some of its specialty foods for snacking. Casa Chocolates will also join us, doling out a selection of its expertly crafted sweets, specifically matched to the flavor profiles of Bending Branch’s offered products.
Each $25 Quarterly Pour ticket includes the guided tasting, paired chocolate bites, and access to the cocktail hour at Culinaria’s new event space. The event will take place Thursday, March 20, from 6-8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.
If you haven’t had a chance to join us for one of our Master Class-style sessions, we highly suggest making this one your first!
Editor’s Note: in anticipation of this event we revisited the Bending Branch 1840 Culinaria Blend and recorded our thoughts on the smooth, expertly blended sauce. Read more here.
